The White House is joining the fight to bring STEM education and exposure to the front of the classroom with the Educate to Innovate Program, which is designed to “improve the participation and performance of America’s students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)”. We especially love how the program encourages public-private partnerships that “[harness] the power of media, interactive games, hands-on learning, and community volunteers” to inspire innovation.
SFD shares the White House’s belief in the importance of STEM education, and more so, the importance of empowering the community to support STEM educational efforts. This is why we could use YOUR help! Visit our WATER page to find out about how you too can help to motivate the next generation of female innovators, who have been traditionally underrepresented in STEM fields.
