STEM From Dance Welcomes A New Board Member!

STEM From Dance would like to enthusiastically welcome Jacobe Bell to our Board!
Jacobe studied Political Science at Stanford University, where she volunteered in East Palo Alto teaching dance in multiple schools. During her tenure volunteering in this community, she enjoyed seeing growth in both the self-esteem and social interaction of her students. Jacobe currently works in Harlem where she is a 7th grade writing teacher, and is passionate about encouraging under-represented minority girls to pursue a STEM education.
She is particularly enthusiastic about the potential benefits of combining dance with a STEM education; her experience as both a dance and academic educator in under-served communities in both the Bronx and Harlem has proven to her that dance can boost confidence and provide the determination to work through hard concepts. For this reason, Jacobe is a huge fan of using arts to improve student achievement, and looks forward to contributing her insight and energy to the STEM From Dance vision.
Please help us to welcome Jacboe Bell to STEM From Dance!
